COVID-19 Update

Reopening as of June 25, 2020

We are excited to see you all soon!

For Glendora City Classes:

ONLINE CLASS:

  • Online registration for online classes will close 3 days prior to class starting, unless you have provided a specific date for registration to close (ie. art classes). This will allow instructors time to access the rosters and contact the families with class access information.

  • Instructors must provide participants with online class info (ie. links, password, etc) at least two days before class starts. Include me in all emails sent to participants regarding online class access info.

  • I will share the class access info with our admin staff for participants who might call and have trouble gaining access to the class.

IN-PERSON CLASSES/CAMPS: Although sports are not allowed to resume, we have received guidance from DPH that would allow teams to host skill building exercises  as long as they follow the guidelines for day camps. We have grouped outdoor exercise classes into this set of guidelines.

  • Kids can play each other as long as those playing each other remain within a group of 13. However, one group of 13 cannot play against another group of 13.

  • Participants and visitors must wear cloth face coverings at arrival and departure.

  • Instructors/coaches must wear a mask at all times.

  • Provide physical guides, such as tape on floors or sidewalks and signs on walls, to ensure that staff and participants remain at least 6 feet apart in lines and at other times

  • Recommended participant to instructor ratios should be 12:1.

  • Children less than 3 years of age and those with health conditions that prevent masking are exempt.

  • Train staff and educate participants and their families about when they should stay home and when they can return to class. Actively encourage staff and participants who are sick or who have recently had close contact with a person with COVID-19 to stay home.

  • In addition to screening staff when they arrive, all participants should also be screened upon arrival at the facility

    • Consider conducting visual wellness checks of all participants upon arrival; this could include taking participants’ temperatures at the beginning of each day with a no touch thermometer. If no touch thermometers are not available, reported temperature assessment is acceptable.

    • Ask all individuals about COVID-19 symptoms within the last 24 hours and whether anyone in their home has had COVID-19 symptoms or a positive test.

  • For all city classes we will use this zoom link https://us02web.zoom.us/j/82160858331?pwd=WERvK1hmRGgxYUZiaHQ4OE5va3JYZz09 Meeting ID: 821 6085 8331 Password: dance

Any questions regarding refunds/credits/prorating fees, please email the Community Services Department at community_services@cityofglendora.org.

In addition to the City Guideline for all other Academy Classes & Summer Camps:

All performers and families must sign the Covid waiver at the top of this page. Paper copies are available at the front desk and will be added to our Mindbody portal for online signatures.

Performers must bring their own crayons, markers, scissors, pencils, and other supplies for activities daily as well as "inside shoes" which have been sterilized from outside ground.  Outside shoes will not be allowed on the 2nd floor past the front desk.

Counselors will be waiting for campers 5 minutes before each camp day to escort them up stairs and parents should call the front desk when they arrive for pick up and wait for the campers in the parking lot behind the building. The campers will exit through the back door.

Everyone must check in at the front desk for a temperature and health check. We encourage everyone to wash their hands each hour and use the 20 second timer in each bathroom. TBE Staff Members and Counselors will be testing for Covid-19 every 4-6 weeks. We encourage our families to test regularly as well.

Teachers will disinfect door handles, pianos, and common surfaces after each lesson or class. In addition to regular cleaning products we are using a UV light in each room at least twice a day. Please do not enter a room if the UV light sign is on the door and do not look at it directly. Hand sanitizer and wipes are available in every room. Masks and gloves are available at the front desk for a small fee.

Parents will not be able to sit in classes and are encouraged to wait six feet apart in the lobby or outside and watch the classes via zoom link. All classes, lessons, rehearsals, etc. will be available on zoom as well as in person. Please talk to your instructor for details.

We are still asking anyone who is notified of a possible exposure quarantine for 10 days and anyone who tested positive to receive two negative test at least 5 days apart or quarantine for 20 days total before returning to the Academy.

All classes and lessons will be available in person and on zoom.  If the session is not working please call the front desk at 626-963-1300 immediately so we can fix it.
