Reopening as of June 25, 2020
We are excited to see you all soon!
For Glendora City Classes:
Online registration for online classes will close 3 days prior to class starting, unless you have provided a specific date for registration to close (ie. art classes). This will allow instructors time to access the rosters and contact the families with class access information.
Instructors must provide participants with online class info (ie. links, password, etc) at least two days before class starts. Include me in all emails sent to participants regarding online class access info.
I will share the class access info with our admin staff for participants who might call and have trouble gaining access to the class.
IN-PERSON CLASSES/CAMPS: Although sports are not allowed to resume, we have received guidance from DPH that would allow teams to host skill building exercises as long as they follow the guidelines for day camps. We have grouped outdoor exercise classes into this set of guidelines.
Kids can play each other as long as those playing each other remain within a group of 13. However, one group of 13 cannot play against another group of 13.
Participants and visitors must wear cloth face coverings at arrival and departure.
Instructors/coaches must wear a mask at all times.
Provide physical guides, such as tape on floors or sidewalks and signs on walls, to ensure that staff and participants remain at least 6 feet apart in lines and at other times
Recommended participant to instructor ratios should be 12:1.
All visitors and participants are required to wear cloth face coverings while at class location, except while eating/drinking, or engaging in solo physical exertion (such as jogging by one’s self). Children less than 3 years of age and those with health conditions that prevent masking are exempt.
Train staff and educate participants and their families about when they should stay home and when they can return to class. Actively encourage staff and participants who are sick or who have recently had close contact with a person with COVID-19 to stay home.
In addition to screening staff when they arrive, all participants should also be screened upon arrival at the facility
Consider conducting visual wellness checks of all participants upon arrival; this could include taking participants’ temperatures at the beginning of each day with a no touch thermometer. If no touch thermometers are not available, reported temperature assessment is acceptable.
Ask all individuals about COVID-19 symptoms within the last 24 hours and whether anyone in their home has had COVID-19 symptoms or a positive test.
For all city classes we will use this zoom link Meeting ID: 821 6085 8331 Password: dance
Any questions regarding refunds/credits/prorating fees, please email the Community Services Department at firstname.lastname@example.org.
In addition to the City Guideline for all other Academy Classes & Summer Camps:
All performers and families must sign the Covid waiver at the top of this page. Paper copies are available at the front desk and will be added to our Mindbody portal for online signatures.
Performers must bring their own crayons, markers, scissors, pencils, and other supplies for activities daily as well as "inside shoes" which have been sterilized from outside ground. Outside shoes will not be allowed on the 2nd floor past the front desk.
Counselors will be waiting for campers 5 minutes before each camp day to escort them up stairs and parents should call the front desk when they arrive for pick up and wait for the campers in the parking lot behind the building. The campers will exit through the back door.
Everyone must check in at the front desk for a temperature and health check. We encourage everyone to wash their hands each hour and use the 20 second timer in each bathroom. TBE Staff Members and Counselors will be testing for Covid-19 every 4-6 weeks. We encourage our families to test regularly as well.
Teachers will disinfect door handles, pianos, and common surfaces after each lesson or class. In addition to regular cleaning products we are using a UV light in each room at least twice a day. Please do not enter a room if the UV light sign is on the door and do not look at it directly. Hand sanitizer and wipes are available in every room. Masks and gloves are available at the front desk for a small fee.
Parents will not be able to sit in classes and are encouraged to wait six feet apart in the lobby or outside and watch the classes via zoom link. All classes, lessons, rehearsals, etc. will be available on zoom as well as in person. Please talk to your instructor for details.
As of March 24, 2020
Given the recent events concerning the Coronavirus, we understand the measures being taken throughout LA county to fight this pandemic. We want to assure you that the health of each student is something we hold in high regard. With that being said, the Academy will currently be closed March 16-May 15.
Usually when the Academy is closed in the summer or for winter break, we have funds put aside for our bills, unfortunately that is not the case this time. It would be most helpful to our Top Billing staff if you could continue lessons or classes online if possible.
For Glendora City Classes: As of March 14, 2020, all Glendora City facilities will be closed and all activities/classes will be cancelled until May 15, 2020. This includes indoor, outdoor, and off-site programs. Any questions regarding refunds/credits/prorating fees, please email the Community Services Department at email@example.com.
For Private Lessons: teachers are available online, are willing to come to your house, or you are welcome to come to the Academy. We have been wiping down the doors and common surfaces repeatedly during the day and you are welcome to do as your family sees fit. Please touch base with your teacher and create a game plan. If you chose to refrain from lessons during this time, we will credit your payments to next month, but cannot issue refunds. If you are on autopay, please email if you would like to pause the payments.
For High School Musical: We will email you details on the Monday Minder. We are planning to resume rehearsals at the Academy when we can. The show is still on. If the situation worsens we will postpone the show to a later date, but it will not be cancelled.
For All Group Classes: all the teachers will be uploading videos of the recital routines for you to practice. If you would like to schedule time with your teacher one on one to work on any skills, I know they would like that. Private lessons are $30/half hour. Currently we are still on track for the recital on June 13. We will credit your payments to next month, but cannot issue refunds. If you are on autopay, please email if you would like to pause the payments.
For Dance Team: we are waiting to hear if March KAR is cancelled and will discuss more on the Band app. Hall of Fame in April is cancelled. Please check band for updates regarding any rehearsals, comp refunds, etc. The yard sale fundraiser has been postponed. To date KAR has not given us a refund. Please discuss options with Ms. K.
For Party Princess Performers: most of your gigs have been cancelled. I will notify you as soon as the clients notify me.
For Costume and Set Rentals: please let us know if your show is rescheduled and we will do our best to get you the items you wanted. If your production is completely cancelled we will issue you a refund. Please contact for details.
It is very important that you continue to rehearse on your own during this period. We will be available via Zoom, Google Hangouts, Facebook Video Chat, and FaceTime.
We are going to create some different online performing competitions and activities to keep the kids practicing and working on new skills. Stay tuned to our social media for more details. We are looking forward to seeing some fun videos from the kids. Email for the login info. for the classes below.
Thank you for understanding and support during this time. Please stay safe and remember that stars shine bright and wash their hands!
We love you!
-Ms K. & the TBE Staff
